Do you need help planning your semester schedule? Do you have questions about how to read your SAIN report? Would you like to connect with a professor in a major that interests you? The Academic Advising and Mentoring Center can help!
The Academic Advising and Mentoring Center (formerly the Faculty Advising Center) helps bring together SCCC students seeking academic advising and teaching faculty, who can provide necessary mentorship. The AAMC staff works to connect students with faculty members based on the students’ interests and disciplines.
Additionally, the staff is available at each center to help students understand their SAIN reports, and how to use the information in the SAIN report to select classes that will fulfill their degree requirements. AAMC staff members can also help students navigate the MySCCC portal to search for classes and register online.
Academic Advising and Mentoring Centers are open on the Grant Campus in Caumsett Hall, Room 112, on the Ammerman Campus in the Ammerman Building, Room 101B, and on the Eastern Campus in the Student Success Center, Peconic 215.
For more information, please explore the links to the left, or drop by the Academic Advising and Mentoring Center on your campus. Please complete the Student Advising Questionnaire and bring it to the AAMC to be connected with a faculty advisor or mentor.
