WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR CLEP?
Currently the CLEP exam fee is $80. Optional essays are $10.
Each application requires separate fees for each exam.
1. A $40 money order payable to “Suffolk County Community College” must accompany
your registration. This is a non-refundable fee and reserves your seat in a test session.
2. Registration beyond the due date is available on space availability and requires additional $20; therefore the registration fee payable to SCCC would be $60.
3. An $80 money order payable to “College Level Examination Program” must also
accompany your application; or you may use a credit card on the test date for this fee only.
Note for military service members: Military service members whose exams are funded by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) may not repeat an examination of the same title within a 180-day period under any circumstance. Effective December 11, 2010, DANTES will not fund retesting on a previously funded CLEP exam. However, service members may personally fund a retest after waiting six months.
Your registration and test fees must be received at the CLEP Testing Center on/or before the application due date. Please indicate your second choice of date on your registration form. For further information, call the Office of Adult Learner Academic Programs at (631) 451-4696.

If you must reschedule your exam, an additional $20 fee will be required payable to “SCCC”.
Late registrations are subject to approval and an additional $20 fee will be required payable
to “Suffolk County Community College”.
