Currently looking for a part-time Professional Assistant to help recruit, access and place participants in the training programs; assist in coordination and implementation of classes; collect data and generate reports; possess problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; multi-tasking; prioritize work deliverables as needs evolve. Experience with Microsoft Office; Minimum education - Associates degree.


Part-time instructors also encouraged to apply - CNC machine operator; welding; manufacturing basics; quality; inspection.

The Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Training Center offers many training opportunities to develop and upgrade skills necessary in the manufacturing field. Please check back periodically for upcoming classes and programs.


The Center offers several topics such as Fundamental Machining Processes, CNC Operator, Welding, IPC certification, Inspection, PLC, and Blueprint reading among others. Each program offers a Completion Certificate upon successful completion, and offers the opportunity of national certification in some areas. These courses are designed for the incumbent worker as well as those individuals interested in entering the manufacturing field. The AMTC provides students with a better understanding of what is required of those working in the manufacturing environment through both classroom and hands-on learning.  Our location is a Certified Remote Testing Facility and provides associated testing in IPC, WTTI,  AWS, and NIMS Certification. Training is located at the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College.

Business Outsourcing Opportunity

The Advanced Manufacturing Training Center will also provide an outsourcing opportunity for those companies who wish to contract for the use of the Center’s manufacturing facilities. This includes the use and/or training of two types of 3D rapid prototyping printers. Call for details.
