The Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Training Center offers many training opportunities to develop and upgrade skills necessary in the manufacturing field. Please check back periodically for upcoming classes and programs.

The Center offers several topics such as Fundamental Machining Processes, CNC Operator, Welding, IPC certification, Inspection, PLCs, MasterCAM, and Blueprint reading among others. Each program offers a Completion Certificate upon successful completion, and offers the opportunity of certification in some areas. This Program is designed for the incumbent worker as well as those interested in entering the manufacturing field.  The courses are designed to provide students with a better understanding of what is required of those working in the manufacturing environment through both classroom and hands-on learning.  Training will take place at the Brentwood campus of Suffolk County Community College.

Business Outsourcing Opportunity

The Advanced Manufacturing Training Center will also provide an outsourcing opportunity for those companies who wish to contract for the use of the Center’s manufacturing facilities. This includes the use and/or training of two types of 3D rapid prototyping printers. Call for details.
