SCCC Distance Education Department Information For Blended / Hybrid Courses

Notice: Blended/Hybrid courses meet both on campus and online in D2L. The schedule of class meetings on campus is determined by the instructor and is listed in your class schedule and may also be viewed in the Class Schedule (accessible under 'Quick Links' at the College web site home page). You should expect that your course work will include campus-based class meetings AS WELL AS online work that will take place in the SCCC Virtual Campus, in Desire2Learn. You will use the MySCCC portal to access the link to 'D2L' to participate in the online part of your blended course.

Important dates: Fall semester 2009

For specific information on when a particular DE course starts, meets, and ends please consult the online ‘Class Schedule Listing’ in Banner Self-Service or your individual class schedule.

The start date for blended/hybrid courses is August 31, 2009.

The end date for blended/hybrid courses is December 21, 2009.

Blended/Hybrid courses are accessed through the MySCCC portal and by using a link to the Desire2Learn (D2L) server.
Make SURE TO SIGN IN to your blended/hybrid course in D2L before September 8, 2009 or risk receiving an automatic withdrawal “W” grade.

*Late Registration Policy* Registration for blended/hybrid courses (Desire2Learn) will be permitted until September --, 2009.
