Sarah Gutowski


Sarah Kain Gutowski, associate professor of English, is newly arrived on the Eastern campus. She comes from the Ammerman campus, where she taught for over eight years and helped organize the annual Creative Writing Festival. Sarah currently serves as faculty advisor to East End Elements, the campus art and literary magazine. 

Having earned her master's degree from New York University, Professor Gutowski's poetry has been published in Verse Daily, The Gettysburg Review, The Southern Review, Epiphany, The Threepenny Review, and So to Speak: A Feminist Journal

Hyacinth Girl Press published her chapbook, Fabulous Beast: The Sow, in May of 2013.
Sarah lives on the south shore with her husband, eldest daughter, son, and new infant/gremlin girl.
