The SCCC Nursing Department has been preparing students for the dynamic and complex profession of nursing for over 40 years. Suffolk Community College is a good choice for many because of its program options: AAS RN, LPN to RN, and PN certificate including day or evening classes offered across three different campuses in Suffolk County. The student body is diverse and includes adult learners of all ages and ethnicities. As a community college and member of the SUNY system, tuition is affordable and financial aid is available to qualifying students.
Many nurse leaders in Suffolk County and beyond have gotten their start at the SCCC School of Nursing. Graduates of the program have continued their commitment to the profession of nursing by attaining BSN and graduate degrees, enabling professional growth in nursing administration, education, clinical specialties and research.
