PARALEGAL PROGRAM
G
OALS AND OBJECTIVES

This program is designed to prepare individuals as legal assistants
in law-related occupations by providing the students with basic
knowledge of the law, oral and written business communications
skills and the ability to analyze and organize information.  Such
individuals will be prepared for employment opportunities in private
law offices, the insurance industry, governmental agencies and court
systems, as well as the contract or legal departments of various
business enterprises.  Upon completion of the paralegal degree or
certificate program the graduate will be able to function as a
paralegal in a legal environment; draft legal documents; conduct legal
research; analyze legal problems; and adhere to the legal codes of
        ethics.
