St. John's University is committed to academic excellence and the pursuit of wisdom which flows from free inquiry, religious values, and human experience. Our core curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences aims to enrich lives as well as professions and serves to unify the undergraduate experience. Graduate and professional schools express our commitment to research, rigorous standards, and innovative application of knowledge. We aim not only to be excellent professionals with an ability to analyze and articulate clearly what is, but also to develop the ethical and aesthetic values to imagine and help realize what might be.
St. John’s University offers one (1) SoLII Full-Tuition Transfer Scholarship each year. This scholarship will apply to fall and spring tuition and requires that students take at least twelve credits and maintain a 3.0 GPA while at St. John’s University. In addition to the full-tuition scholarship, two other students recommended as finalists for this award are eligible for awards of $20,000. Other students recommended by the president of Suffolk will be considered for other awards that could reach up to $17,000. These scholarships are renewable for up to four consecutive fall and spring semesters.
NOTE: Applying for the Stay on Long Island Scholarship is NOT an application to the college. You must apply for transfer admission separately. You can do that online by clicking on the Online Application link.
