A global, private institution of higher education, NYIT has campuses in North America, China, the Middle East, and online. Locally, its campuses in Manhattan and Old Westbury, Long Island, offer more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and schedules to fit every student's needs. Scholarships for transfer students range between $2,000 and $15,000 per academic year (not including the full-tuition scholarship we offer to one Suffolk Community College graduate as part of the Stay on Long Island Initiative). Given that these scholarships can be combined with other sources of financial aid, you will understand just how affordable an NYIT education can be.
NYIT offers one (1) full-tuition Stay on Long Island Scholarship as well as partial awards of up to $15,000. These scholarships apply to fall and spring tuition and require that students take at least twelve credits. Scholarship winners must maintain a 3.5 GPA if awarded a full-tuition scholarship and a 3.0 GPA if awarded the $15,000 scholarship. The awards are limited to four semesters of continuous enrollment.
NOTE: Applying for the Stay on Long Island Scholarship is NOT an application to the college. You must apply for transfer admission separately. You can do that online by clicking on the
Online Application link.
